Kyaw Si Thu

Kyaw Si Thu is a Vehicle Integration Engineer at Lucid Motors since July 2024. Previously served as Managing Director and Suspension Lead Engineer at Bruin Racing from September 2020 to June 2024, leading a student team to design a single-seat off-road vehicle and overseeing suspension design for M22. Additional experience includes a Mechanical Engineering Internship at Aspen Aerogels, focusing on EV battery thermal barriers, and serving as Director at Startup Labs UCLA, where a curriculum using lean methodology was developed. Kyaw also held roles at Bruin Entrepreneurs, overseeing events and recruitment, and contributed as a Research Assistant at UCLA Smart Grid Energy Research Center, analyzing bi-directional EV charger requirements. Kyaw holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA.
