Matteo Demetz

Matteo Demetz is a highly experienced engineer specializing in electric powertrain systems and controls. Currently serving as a Senior Technical Specialist at Lucid Motors since February 2022, Matteo has previously held key positions as a Senior Motor Controls and Systems Engineer at Compact Dynamics GmbH and as a Senior Hybrid & Vehicle Systems Engineer at McLaren Applied, where contributions included the development of high-efficiency motor control algorithms and electric powertrains for competitive racing. Earlier roles at Volkswagen Motorsport GmbH involved data acquisition system supervision and electrical systems management, while initial experience included embedded software development at TTTech Auto. Matteo holds a Diplom-Ingenieurin in Automation Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, both from Technische Universität Wien.
