Walker Inman

Walker Inman has had a varied career, beginning with a research internship at trailworks.com in 2000, followed by sales and sourcing internships at GE Energy in 2001. In 2006, they were hired as an independent contractor by Pfizer to transfer a liver technology developed at MIT into labs at Pfizer. In 2007, they were hired by DuPont as an independent contractor to start a company based on the liver technology developed at MIT while pursuing their masters degree. In 2008, they founded Ceryx Biosystems, Inc. and partnered with two MIT professors to commercialize a technology for modeling liver disease and predicting liver toxicity. Walker led negotiations with two corporate venture partners for financing (Pfizer and DuPont) and led negotiations for licensing background IP. In 2011, they held a post-doctorate at MIT. In 2015, they became a Foundation Board Member at Piedmont Healthcare.

Walker Inman obtained their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2004. Walker then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which they completed in 2006. Finally, Inman completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2011.
