Randolph J. Knific, M.D., joined Radiology Regional in 1987; he has played in integral role in the growth of the practice, including leading physician recruitment for the past decade. Dr. Knific was elected Radiology Regional’s President and Managing Partner in 2022.
An Ohio native, Dr. Knific graduated magna cum laude in chemistry from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, from which he also received his medical degree. He performed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and a fellowship in abdominal/interventional radiology at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology, Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He has additional training in pediatric radiology from the Children’s Hospital Medical Center, University of Cincinnati, and radiologic pathology from the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC.
Dr. Knific has served in multiple, professional leadership positions including Chief of Medical Staff and Chairman, the Department of Radiology, both for Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers FL. He is an active community philanthropist and has volunteered his time for many causes that enrich the Southwest Florida community including The Southwest Florida Symphony Orchestra.
Dr. Knific is certified by the American Board of Radiology. He is a member of Radiological Society of North America, American Roentgen Ray Society, the American College of Radiology and the Florida Medical Association. Dr. Knific is also a Certified Expert Witness serving The Florida Board of Medicine in a pro bono role.
