Richard Spies

Richard Spies is the current President & CEO at LucidIQ. Richard has over 28 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry.

Spies began their career in finance, holding positions at Goldman Sachs and JE Robert Company. In these roles, they were responsible for acquiring and managing commercial real estate portfolios, as well as developing investment reporting standards and formats.

In 1994, Spies founded BSE Commercial Real Estate, a development and brokerage company specializing in commercial property management and leasing. Through BSE, Spies has acquired, developed, managed, and/or leased multiple commerical properties including retail, show-room warehouse, industrial, restaurant, and multifamily. Richard is an expert in structured financing and investment vehicles to optimize value and cash flow.

Spies has been with LucidIQ since December of 2000 and has served as President & CEO since January of 2019. Under their leadership, LucidIQ has become a leading provider of data analytics and decision support tools for the commercial real estate industry.

Richard Spies attended Hendrix College for their BA in Business with a focus in finance and economics. Richard then went on to The University of Texas at Dallas for their post-grad, focusing in banking, corporate, finance, and securities law. Finally, they completed their Bachelor's Business/Economics at Hendrix College with a focus in business.
