Zuhair Khayyat has a varied work experience starting from 2007. Zuhair worked as a trainer at Saudi Aramco from July 2007 to January 2008. Following that, they served as a Unix Administrator at SABIC from September 2008 to March 2009. From June 2010 to August 2010, Zuhair was a research intern at IBM T. J. Watson Research Center. Zuhair continued their internship at the same organization for another year, from July 2011 to September 2011. In 2013, they worked as a freelancer at Qatar Computing Research Institute for four months. Since October 2017, Zuhair has held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Lucidya.
Zuhair Khayyat began their education in 2003 at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering. Zuhair completed their undergraduate studies in 2008.
In 2009, Zuhair enrolled in KAUST (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology) to pursue a Master of Science degree in Computer Science. Zuhair completed their master's program in 2010.
Continuing their studies at KAUST, Zuhair embarked on a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in Computer Science in 2010. Zuhair dedicated seven years to their doctoral research and successfully earned their PhD degree in 2017.
Apart from their formal education, Zuhair Khayyat also obtained a certification in Lucidya Social Listening. In December 2021, they completed this certification program offered by Lucidya.
