Over the course of his time with the company, Joe Carnahan has served Luck Stone at many levels, beginning as a co-op student and then working full-time at the company as a Mining Engineer, Mining Engineering Manager, and General Manager.
In 2013, Joe became the General Manager of the Luck Ecosystems business unit. He then served as the General Manager of Luck Stone’s Central Region, where his responsibilities included leadership of quarry operations and aggregate sales. Today, Joe is the Vice President of Luck Stone’s Southeast Region, which includes the company’s newly acquired locations in both South Carolina and Georgia.
Joe graduated from Virginia Tech in 2003 with a B.S. in Mining and Minerals Engineering. He earned his Professional Engineering license in 2009 and in 2013, he received his degree from Virginia Commonwealth University’s Executive Masters in Business Administration program. He has served on the board of the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay and is a current Georgia Construction Aggregate Association and South Carolina Aggregate Association board member.
