Julien Guitard

Julien Guitard has a diverse and extensive work experience. Julien is currently the VP Engineering & Science at Lucky Cart since November 2022. Before that, they held the position of Chief Data and Science Officer at the same company from April 2017 to October 2022. Prior to joining Lucky Cart, they worked at EY, starting as a Manager - Data Scientist from May 2014 to December 2015, and then as a Senior Manager - Data Scientist from January 2016 to March 2017. At EY, they were involved in various projects covering a wide range of industries, utilizing data methodologies and providing expertise in data project management, data expertise, and sales effort. Before EY, they worked as a Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group from May 2012 to May 2014, where they gained experience in financial and business modeling, strategy development, and data analytics. Julien also has experience working for the French Government as an Economist, Policy Advisor, and Change Manager from September 2008 to April 2012, and at the Center for Research in Economics and Statistics as a Junior Economist and Research Assistant from September 2006 to August 2008. Julien started their career as an Intern at the European Central Bank in June 2004.

Julien Guitard completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Finance/Economics from École Polytechnique from 2001 to 2004. Julien then pursued a Master of Science degree in Policy Evaluation/Econometrics at ENSAE Paris from 2004 to 2005. In 2005, they also attended UCL as an affiliate student, focusing on Policy Evaluation/Labor Economics. From 2006 to 2009, Julien obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Economics/Econometrics from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne.
