Martin Avis began their work experience in 2002 with the Freedom Group, where they completed an Advanced Engineering Apprenticeship and worked on electrical distribution networks. Martin then joined HVMS in 2008 and held positions such as Project Manager and Head of Private Networks, where they managed maintenance tasks and larger projects. In 2016, they joined Lucy Electric as the Head of Energy Services, responsible for sales growth and providing global support.
Martin Avis began their education at Rickmansworth School in 1997 and completed their studies there in 2004. During their time at Rickmansworth School, no specific degree was pursued, but they studied English, Maths, Science, and six other subjects.
Afterwards, Martin attended West Herts College from 2002 to 2007. Again, no specific degree was mentioned, but they engaged in the study of Electrical Installation and Mechanical as part of an Advanced Apprenticeship.
In 2013 to 2014, Martin enrolled at the Institute Of Leadership & Management where they pursued the ILM Level 5 Award in Leadership and Management Skills.
Lastly, in 2015 and 2016, Martin attended the Chartered Management Institute, obtaining a Level 7 NVQ Diploma in Leadership & Management.
