Jakub Rehor

Co-Founder, Chief Investment Officer at Lucy Labs

Jakub Rehor has extensive experience in the investment management industry, spanning over 25 years. Jakub is currently the Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer at Lucy Labs CryptoFinance since 2017, where they focus on developing and applying quantitative and fundamental trading strategies in cryptocurrency markets. Prior to this, they worked as a Portfolio Manager at Incline Investment Management, LLC since 2018, managing the Crystal Bay Ubitrend strategy. Before that, Jakub founded and managed Ubival LLC, a quantitative commodity trading advisor, from 2013 to 2018, achieving strong returns and outperforming the benchmark. Jakub began their career at Third Avenue Management in 2004, where they worked as a Portfolio Manager and Partner, managing the Third Avenue International Value Fund and other separately managed accounts. Jakub also worked as a Research Analyst at Putnam Investments and Sanford C. Bernstein, focusing on international investments and technology companies. Jakub started their career as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Co. in 1995.

Jakub Rehor obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics from Yale University between 1991 and 1995. Before that, from 1988 to 1990, they attended the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Czech Technical University in Prague, where their degree is unspecified but likely related to Computer Science.

In addition to their formal education, Jakub Rehor has acquired several certifications. In 2000, they became a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder, earning this qualification from the CFA Institute. In 2015, they completed the Advanced Risk and Portfolio Management Bootcamp offered by ARPM - Advanced Risk and Portfolio Management. Finally, in 2016, they obtained a Certificate in Quantitative Finance (CQF) from the CQF Institute.
