Isuru Weerarathna

Isuru Weerarathna has a strong background in technology and engineering, with experience in various roles at different companies. Their most recent role is as a Senior Technical Lead at Lucytech, starting in 2022. Prior to that, they worked at CAKE Engineering from 2019 to 2022, where they served as a Technical Lead. In this role, they were responsible for enhancing and maintaining the mobile ordering web application and successfully led a critical client engagement. Isuru also designed and developed a new Menu Catalog API.

Before joining CAKE Engineering, Isuru worked at Virtusa from 2013 to 2019. During this time, they held multiple roles including Senior Technical Consultant, Associate Technical Consultant, Senior Engineer - Technology, and Engineer - Technology. In these roles, they provided engineering solutions, technical consultation, and design and development work. Isuru also designed and implemented a DSL query language and handled the analyzer team for code quality and governance.

Isuru's career at Virtusa began in 2011 with an internship as a Junior Software Engineer.

Isuru Weerarathna's education history begins with their attendance at the University of Moratuwa from 2008 to 2012. During this time, they pursued a B.Sc. Eng. (Hons) in Computer Science and Engineering. Prior to their university education, Isuru attended Bandaranayake College - Gampaha from 1999 to 2007, focusing on Physical Science. Isuru also obtained additional certifications from Coursera, including "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization" in September 2017, and "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" in September 2017.
