Dr. Jörg Pancake-Steeg has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Dr. Jörg started their career as an Accounting Assistant at Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Kreisverband Mainz-Bingen in 2000. Dr. Jörg then worked as an Assistant in the IT Department at Federal Mogul from 2001 to 2002. In 2005, they joined Fraunhofer ITWM as a Research Assistant, where they developed algorithmic solutions for scheduling problems. Dr. Jörg also pursued a PhD at Fraunhofer ITWM from 2005 to 2008. After completing their PhD, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at Technische Universität Kaiserslautern in 2006. From 2009 to 2012, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at IVU Traffic Technologies AG, where they contributed to the improvement of transport and logistic software systems. Since 2012, Dr. Jörg Pancake-Steeg has been working at Lufthansa Systems, initially as a Method Expert in the Revenue Management department, and currently as the Head of Commercial Products.

Dr. Jörg Pancake-Steeg earned a diploma in Management Mathematics from RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau in 2005. In 2008, they obtained a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the same institution with a degree name of "Dr. rer. nat." In addition, they also had a brief period of study at Universidad de Sevilla in 2002 and 2003, focusing on Mathematics.
