Frank Umlauf

Frank Umlauf has extensive experience in the aviation industry, beginning with an apprenticeship as an Aircraft Mechanic at Lufthansa FRA IS28 from 1978 to 1982. Following this, Frank worked as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer at Lufthansa Technik from January 1982 to November 2001, engaging in line maintenance and supporting various airline start-up projects worldwide. Since November 2001, Frank has served as a Senior Technical Instructor at Lufthansa Technical Training GmbH, specializing in the A330, A340, and A340-600 Airframe and Powerplant, as well as conducting training for Engine Test Runs on multiple engine types including GE CF6-80E1, PW 4168, RR Trent 700, RR Trent 500, and Cfm56-5C.
