Jens Ritter

Jens Ritter is the current CEO of Lufthansa, a position held since April 2022, also serving as a Captain for the Airbus A320 family. Prior to this, Jens Ritter was a Captain for Germanwings GmbH from September 2014 to August 2022 and held the role of Chief Operating Officer at Eurowings from April 2021 to April 2022. Jens Ritter served as the Chief Operating Officer and Accountable Manager for Austrian Airlines between February 2016 and April 2021 and spent over 12 years at Lufthansa in various leadership roles focused on operations, efficiency, and flight management. Jens Ritter began a career in aviation with a degree in Aerospace Management Technology from München and received the ATPL from Lufthansa Flight Training.
