Raphael Abt

Raphael Abt is an experienced aviation and technology professional with a strong background in digital strategy and management within the airline industry. Currently serving as Manager Digital Crew Planning at Lufthansa since October 2019, Raphael Abt previously held positions as First Officer and Second Officer on the Airbus A320 fleet, utilizing extensive flight experience across Europe and North Africa. Prior to this, roles included Manager Digital Strategy, Innovation and Transformation at Lufthansa Group, Research Assistant at the Fraunhofer Institute focusing on Mobility-as-a-Service, and various positions supporting the development of training software and operational excellence in aviation. Raphael Abt holds an M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and is a licensed commercial pilot with a Multi-Crew Pilot Licence from Lufthansa Flight Training.
