Robert Nicolai has extensive experience in aviation, currently serving as a First Officer and Type Rating Instructor for the A320 at Lufthansa since January 2016. Additionally, Robert holds the position of Type Rating Instructor and TRE C525 at Star Wings Dortmund Luftfahrtgesellschaft mbH since January 2022. Prior to this, Robert worked at Lufthansa Aviation Training GmbH from December 2012 to September 2022 as a Prüfer (TRE) for the C525 and as a Fluglehrer and Pilot for the same aircraft. Robert's aviation career began in the Bundeswehr, where from July 2001 to November 2012, Robert served as an officer, operating as a jet pilot on the F-4F and Eurofighter, while also serving as a flight instructor for the F-4F. Robert holds an Offizierspatent from the Offizierschule der Luftwaffe.
