Lullabot
Since 2004, Monica "Nikki" S. Flores has built websites and led teams for digital projects, supporting U.S. and global clients such as Green America, Ashoka Changemakers, the U.S. Department of State’s GIST Network, and over two hundred websites for government, public agencies, trade associations, non-profits, e-commerce, and startups. She switched to Drupal in 2008 and has never looked back. At Lullabot, her focus is on managing large-scale technical projects, including redesign, refactoring, and digital platform buildout. She is passionate about building and supporting effective collaborations between designers, developers, strategists, and builders, and is known for her unique ability to foster connectedness and compassion.
Nikki speaks, writes, and presents sustainability, entrepreneurship, education, and science and technology as tools for positive social change. As a board member at Green America, she chaired the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion subcommittee, and as part of the faculty for NTEN’s Nonprofit Technology Professional Certification, she taught a course on developing good data practices.
She co-founded a web consulting practice in 2004, founded two women’s communities, and advised emerging teams on technical development. She is the recipient of the NTENny award (2018 and 2019) for "going above and beyond in their commitment to their sector, driving their community forward and tirelessly working for excellence." She is a co-winner of the 2021 "FutureHack Hack for Good" award. She holds the Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) designation.
