Aryana Angel Jharia

Aryana Angel Jharia currently serves as a Student Teacher at Washtenaw International High School and as a Precinct Delegate for the Michigan Democratic Party. In addition, Aryana holds leadership roles within Aspiring Educators of Michigan, including President, where a collaborative effort resulted in securing an NEA CREATE Grant for a social justice project aimed at enhancing representation in school libraries. Aryana is also involved as Co-Founder and Co-President of the Eastern Michigan University chapter of Aspiring Educators of Michigan and serves on the Board of Directors for the Michigan Education Association. With experience in advocacy through Mission Menstruation and content creation for Lulu Press and Reha App, Aryana combines a strong commitment to education and social equity. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from Eastern Michigan University, Aryana has previously obtained an International Baccalaureate Diploma.
