April de Jesus Fluker has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. April started their career as a Media Intern at WPRI/WNAC-TV FOX PROVIDENCE in 2009. April then interned as a Business Intern at Conde Nast - Glamour Magazine in 2010. In 2011, they worked as an Assistant to the Publisher & Advertising Business Assistant at Conde Nast - Details and Bon Appetit Magazines. April had a brief freelance role as a Merchandiser at Polo Ralph Lauren in 2012 before moving on to work as a Freelance Assistant Buyer at Williams-Sonoma, Inc. for their West Elm brand.

From 2012 to 2013, they worked as an Assistant Merchandiser at Calvin Klein. April then joined Marc Jacobs and worked as a Merchandiser from 2013 to 2016, and later as a Senior Merchandiser from 2014 to 2017. In 2017, they joined Harper Wilde as the Head of Customer Experience, where they led the customer experience for this e-commerce company.

Since March 2021, they have been working at Lulus.com, initially as a Product Developer with a focus on Dresses, Special Occasion & Bridal. April later assumed the role of Senior Product Developer, where they oversee the buying strategy and helps set seasonal stories.

April de Jesus Fluker attended Bryant University from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree with a focus on Marketing & Communications.
