Don Cortez

Don Cortez serves as the Vice President of Utility Transformation at LUMA Energy since July 2020, bringing extensive experience from previous roles, including Executive Business Development at Quanta Services, Inc. and Business Development Executive at IBM. With a strong foundation in utility operations and technology, Cortez previously held the position of VP of Regulated Operations Technology at CenterPoint Energy, where responsibilities included overseeing smart grid implementation. Earlier, as Director of Operations for Eletropaulo, Cortez managed T&D operations for a vast service area. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
