Rafael Salvatierra

Rafael Salvatierra has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Rafael is currently the Managing Director and Head of Americas at Luma Financial Technologies since July 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Merrill Lynch as the Managing Director and Head of Product Structuring, Origination & UHNW Solutions from December 2018 to July 2022.

Rafael also served as a Board Member at Luma Financial Technologies from November 2019 to May 2022. Before joining Merrill Lynch, they worked at Citi as the Director and Head of Cross Asset & Structured Investments from July 2010 to November 2018.

Earlier in their career, Rafael held the position of Vice President, Structured Investments, Structuring & Origination at Merrill Lynch from May 2005 to July 2010. Overall, Rafael Salvatierra has extensive experience in various leadership roles within the financial industry.

Rafael Salvatierra's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Metropolitana (VE), which they obtained between 1995 and 2000. During this time, they pursued a dual major in General Management and Banking-Finance. Rafael then went on to complete two Master's degree programs at Columbia University. From 2003 to 2005, they studied Economic Policy and International Finance at Columbia | SIPA. Additionally, from 2004 to 2005, they pursued a Master's degree in Mathematical Finance at Columbia University.
