Kristin MacHac

Kristin Machac, PhD, is a seasoned professional in instructional design and human-centered design, currently serving as a Human-Centered Design Instructor, Facilitator, Practitioner, and Consultant at LUMA Institute since March 2021. As the President of MKM Global Consulting Inc and MKM Properties Inc., Kristin leads education design consulting and residential home renovation projects, respectively. Previous roles include Student Experience Designer at Carnegie Mellon University, Assistant Professor at Radford University, and Instructional Design Manager at UnitedHealth Group, where Kristin implemented innovative strategies and managed teams to enhance learning experiences. Academic credentials include a PhD in Instructional Design & Technology, an MSEd in the same field, and a BS in Interior Design, all from Virginia Tech.
