Computer Vision & ML Tech Lead at Lumachain

Yukun Yang is a Computer Vision and Machine Learning Engineer at Lumachain, a position they have held since 2021. Prior to that, they were a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Technology Sydney from 2017-2021, where they collected and processed five video and image sequence datasets, and developed a Deep Learning-based object segmentation and detection framework. From 2015-2017, they worked as a Software Engineer at State Grid Corporation of China, where they processed and analyzed data for smart electricity meters, and conducted analysis of multi-threaded communication problems for smart electricity meters.

Yukun Yang completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology from 2010 to 2014. Yukun then went on to pursue a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications from 2014 to 2017. Finally, they completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Information Technology (Machine Learning and Computer Vision) from the University of Technology Sydney from 2017 to 2021.
