Michael Coen has worked in a range of roles over the past two decades. In 2000, they worked as a Quant for a company whose name is subject to NDAs. In 2006, they were a Postdoctoral Associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 2007, they became an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 2016, they co-founded QB Analytics and served as CTO, working on machine learning and mathematical modeling on agricultural data gathered via remote sensing. In 2019, they became a Senior Data Scientist at HealthMyne, Inc., leading the development of mathematical and deep learning models for locating and measuring complex structures and tumor growth. In 2021, they were a Technical Advisor to the Head of Product and Engineering at Lumen Energy. Currently, they are the Director of Machine Learning at OccamzRazor.
Michael Coen obtained their Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2006. Prior to that, they obtained an S.M. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the same institution. Michael also obtained an S.B. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
