Daysha Jackson-Sanchez is the Director of Equity & Grant Initiatives at Lumen Learning. Daysha has dedicated their career to improving access to education and ensuring that all students have the opportunity to succeed.
Previously, they served as the Dean of Student Success at Manchester University, where they provided leadership and direction for university-wide efforts to enhance student learning and increase retention, persistence, graduation, and post-graduate success. Daysha also focused on building and maintaining strategic alignment of all phases of the College’s emerging student retention, persistence, and completion agenda through developed collaborative relationships with faculty, students, staff, and administration.
Before their time at Manchester University, Jackson-Sanchez was the Faculty Development Facilitator at Faculty Guild, where they guided faculty through the teaching reflection process and connected their goals to research-based practices to improve teaching.
Jackson-Sanchez has a deep commitment to equity in education and ensuring that all students have the opportunity to succeed. Daysha is a strong advocate for experiential learning and has developed a market-smart strategy to career and professional development that builds intersections between experiential learning and employer needs. Under their leadership, Manchester University saw a significant increase in student retention and graduation rates.
Daysha holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Saint Francis.
Daysha Jackson-Sanchez earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration and Leadership from Indiana State University. Daysha also has a MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from Purdue University Fort Wayne. Daysha completed their undergraduate studies at Purdue University Fort Wayne with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology.
