Derek Cuneo

Derek Cuneo is a seasoned professional in animation and motion design, currently serving as a Senior Animator and Motion Designer at Lumen Technologies since September 2020. With extensive experience as an Animation Producer and Art Director at Derek Cuneo Animation since December 2010, Cuneo has also contributed as an Animation Instructor at The Pixels and Polygons School since May 2018 and as an Adjunct Professor of Animation at Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design from May 2020 to May 2023. Prior roles include Senior Motion Graphics Designer at SANS Institute from September 2018 to April 2020 and Senior Visual Designer at Triumvirate Environmental from December 2013 to August 2018. Cuneo holds a Certificate in 3D Animation from the Center for Digital Imaging Arts at Boston University and a B.A. in Communications, Education, and Film Studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
