Derek Hodovance

Derek Hodovance is a seasoned technology and operations executive with extensive experience in network engineering and architecture. Currently serving as Sr. Director of Technology Architecture at Lumen Technologies since November 2017, Derek leads a team of architects supporting a diverse range of products across various channels. Previously, Derek held the position of Sr. Director of Solution Architecture at Level 3 Communications, where a WAN Solutions Architecture team was established under his leadership. His background includes significant roles such as VP Operations at Unity Business Networks, VP Engineering at ICG Communications, and VP IP Engineering at Qwest Communications, showcasing a strong track record of developing and streamlining technology solutions. Derek holds advanced degrees in Telecommunications and IT MBA from the University of Colorado Boulder, complemented by a BS in Electrical Engineering.
