Scott Pohlman is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in business development and technology consulting. Currently serving as the Director of Business Development for the Higher Ed Practice at Lumen Technologies since July 2005, Pohlman focuses on business development initiatives for National Research Networks, Regional Optical Networks, and Research Universities across the United States. Prior to this role, Pohlman worked as an IP Architect in the Office of the CTO at WilTel Communications from January 1999 to January 2005, where significant research into breakthrough technologies in telecommunications was conducted. Earlier in the career, Pohlman contributed as a Technology Consultant at MasterCard International, playing a critical role in the creation of the world's largest private IP-based financial network, and as Assistant Chief of the Information Systems Lab at the Radiation Effects Research Foundation, focusing on modernizing computing environments. Pohlman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Environmental Biology from Lindenwood University.
