Emmanuel Seynaeve has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of software engineering, with a particular focus on graphics, animation, and pipeline development. Starting in 2012, they worked at Oktobor as a Character TD Supervisor, Asset and Performance TD Supervisor, and eventually as a Supervising Technical Director, overseeing all aspects of the asset creation process. Emmanuel then joined Blue Sky Studios as a Software Engineer (Graphics) in 2013, followed by Sony Pictures Imageworks as a Senior Technical Animator in 2014. Emmanuel also worked at Digital Domain 3.0 as a Senior Software Engineer (Graphics) from 2015 to 2016.
In 2014, Emmanuel founded MoveMe.io, a web-based animation suite, where they served as the Founder and Lead Software Engineer. Emmanuel then joined MashUp Machine Inc. in 2016 as a Senior Software Engineer (Graphics), focusing on creating new technology for animated content creation using machine learning and crowd creativity. After that, they worked at Atomic Cartoons as a Lead Software Engineer (Pipeline) and later as a Senior Software Engineer (Pipeline).
Emmanuel returned to Lumen5 in 2018, initially as a Senior Software Engineer (Graphics), where they contributed significantly to the development of Luminary, an in-house 2D rendering engine API. Later, in 2022, they transitioned to the role of Principal Software Engineer at Lumen5. Additionally, in 2022, they briefly worked at HYPOTHETIC as the VP of Engineering.
Throughout their career, Emmanuel has continuously demonstrated expertise and innovation in software engineering, particularly in the areas of graphics, animation, and pipeline development.
Emmanuel Seynaeve has a diverse education history. In 1994, they attended the Vrij Technish Instituut Brugge where they studied Graphic Design. After completing their degree in 1998, they then went on to study Maya at Alias|Wavefront in 1999.
In more recent years, Emmanuel pursued further education in the field of Artificial Intelligence. In 2018, they completed a Deep Learning Nanodegree from Udacity, specializing in Artificial Intelligence.
In addition to their formal education, Emmanuel has also obtained various certifications. In November 2016, they earned a certificate in Machine Learning from Coursera Course Certificates. Emmanuel further enhanced their skills through additional online courses, such as Applied Machine Learning in Python, Applied Social Network Analysis in Python, and Applied Text Mining in Python, all completed in February 2019. Lastly, they obtained a certificate in Getting Started with Google Kubernetes Engine from Coursera in August 2018.
