Michael Karlsson has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as an R&D Engineer at Wireless Solution Sweden AB from July 2006 to September 2008. During this time, they developed patented high-reliability wireless systems for IoT and lighting control, as well as led projects for internal and external customers.
Michael then co-founded HB NorseWest in February 2005, where they provided web, email, and server hosting services, managed networks, and offered software consulting until February 2013.
In September 2008, Michael joined LumenRadio as a Senior R&D Engineer, where they served as a systems architect for high-performance and high-reliability projects. Michael also played a key role in embedded software development and implemented quality assurance measures.
From September 2015 to April 2019, they took on the role of R&D Manager at LumenRadio, overseeing the growth of the department and implementing QA methodologies for software and hardware development.
In April 2019, they became the Head of Research and Innovation at LumenRadio, establishing a research team and focusing on long-term strategic goals through innovation and intellectual property development until November 2020.
After LumenRadio acquired Wireless Solution Sweden, Michael took on the role of R&D Manager in November 2020, leading the integration of teams, products, and technology.
Additionally, they assumed the position of Vice Chairman of the Board at Kungälv Energi in May 2019 and contributed to the company's governance and decision-making processes.
Michael Karlsson completed their education at Linköping University from 2001 to 2005. During this time, they earned a Master of Science degree in Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering.
