Jibin Sun

Jibin Sun is a seasoned leader in the field of packaging and process engineering, currently serving as Senior Director of Packaging and Process Engineering and Global Silicon Photonics Program Manager at Lumentum since August 2022. In this role, Jibin oversees R&D teams at the Silicon Valley site, focusing on the development of high baud rate components for telecommunication and datacenter applications. Previously, Jibin held significant roles at NeoPhotonics, managing the silicon photonics program and leading engineering teams on advanced optical component and module development. Jibin's extensive experience also includes positions at TE Connectivity and Dow Electronic Materials, where responsibilities encompassed optoelectronic packaging and semiconductor technology development. Academic research experience includes roles at UC Berkeley and Harvard University.
