Jingcheng Zhang

Jingcheng Zhang has extensive work experience in the field of hardware engineering, with a focus on optical design. Jingcheng started their career at Ciena in 1999, where they served as a Principal Optical Hardware Engineer, responsible for the qualification and design of transmitter and receiver modules for high-speed optical systems. In 2003, they joined Finisar Corporation as a Senior Transceiver Design Engineer & Project Lead, leading the design of transceiver modules. Most recently, in 2020, they joined Lumentum as a Principal Hardware Engineer.

Jingcheng Zhang obtained a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Rutgers University in 1994. Prior to that, they received a Master of Science degree in Optics/Optical Sciences from the Beijing Institute of Technology in 1985.
