Sylvain L.

Sylvain L. has extensive experience in software engineering, with their most recent role as a Principal Software Systems Engineer at Lumentum since 2015. In this role, they were responsible for software design, development, and test automation on wavelength selectable switch (WSS) and optical amplifier (OA) products.

Prior to joining Lumentum, Sylvain worked at Harris Corporation as a Lead Embedded Software Engineer from 2013 to 2015. During their time there, they designed and developed graphics and platform technologies for an Air Traffic Control communication system. Sylvain also worked as an Embedded Software Engineer at Mitel from 2004 to 2008, where they managed the introduction of wideband audio technologies across the company's portfolio.

Furthermore, Sylvain gained early experience at Mitel as a Co-op student in Computer Engineering from 2001 to 2003. During this time, they maintained and developed features for IP phones and created a network impairments simulator for testing VoIP products.

Sylvain L. attended Université de Sherbrooke from 1999 to 2003, where they earned a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering.
