Wupen Yuen

Wupen Yuen is Lumentum’s Senior Vice President and General Manager, Telecom Transmission. In 2022, he joined the company through Lumentum’s acquisition of NeoPhotonics where he had been Chief Product Officer since 2018, and Senior Vice President and General Manager since August 2014. From January 2005 to August 2014, Yuen held numerous leadership roles with NeoPhotonics including Senior Vice President of Product and Technology Development, Vice President of Product Development and Engineering, and Director of Business Development. From August 2002 until December 2004, Yuen served as Chief Technology Officer of Bandwidth9, a telecommunications tunable laser company.

Yuen holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University. He has completed various executive education programs at Harvard Business School and University of Chicago Booth Business School in innovation, general management, finance, and leadership.
