Juan A. Melendez Soto has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Juan A. started their career in 2011 in the US Army, where they served as a Specialist and provided leadership to personnel. During this time, they also created reports and designed contingency plans for emergency cases.

In 2018, Juan joined Accenture Federal Services as a SOC Analyst. In this role, they oversaw cybersecurity incidents, analyzed potential compromises, and reported security incidents. Juan A. played a key role in improving security capabilities across security infrastructure, access management, and system networking. Juan's latest role was at Lumifi, where they served as a SOC Senior Security Analyst. Juan A. successfully coordinated defense for several "Zero-day" threat responses and assisted in a major ransomware incident for a large defense contract by providing remediation recommendations.

Juan A. Melendez Soto earned a Master's degree in Cybersecurity Digital Forensics from the University of South Florida in the academic years 2016 to 2017. Before that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Homeland Security from American Military University, where they studied from 2011 to 2015. In addition to their academic achievements, Juan has also obtained several certifications. These include Certified Threat Hunt Analyst from SecureSet, obtained in June 2018; GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA) from the SANS Institute, obtained in March 2022; GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE) from the SANS Institute, obtained in June 2021; and GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) from the SANS Institute, obtained in October 2020.
