Mani Balasubramanian

Mani Balasubramanian has over 30 years of work experience in finance and operations. Mani began their career as a Process Engineer at Cookson Fibers, Inc. where they led a team in the manufacture of Nylon 6.6 Partially Oriented Yarns. Mani then transitioned to Philips Broadband Networks, Inc. as a Manager/Assistant Controller, implementing various workflow improvement techniques. After being identified as a High Potential, they made a transition to Finance under the mentorship of the CFO.

At Philips Lighting, Mani served as a Controller for the Special Lighting division, managing finance, planning, logistics, and customer service functions. Mani then took on the role of Director of Finance for the Consumer Market Organization, where they oversaw all aspects of finance and sales operations for the retail portion of the Lamps business.

In 2008, Mani joined Philips LumiLeds Lighting Company LLC as the Senior Director of Finance, responsible for controlling worldwide LED operations. Mani was an integral part of the WW Operations Management team and acted as a business partner to the Senior VP of Operations.

In their most recent role at Lumileds as the Vice President of Finance for the Automotive Business Unit, Mani served as a business partner with financial responsibilities, including the development and execution of strategic long-term financial plans. Mani also played a key role in increasing revenue and maintaining profitability as the VP of Finance for LED Operations and Specialty Business.

Throughout their career, Mani has demonstrated strong leadership skills and expertise in financial planning, data analytics, and operations management.

Mani Balasubramanian earned a BTech degree in textile from PSG College of Technology in 1985. Later, from 1987 to 1990, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Textile Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Mani then obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Operations Management and Finance from Syracuse University - Martin J. Whitman School of Management from 1996 to 1998.
