Sanggeon Lee

Sanggeon Lee has extensive work experience in the field of optical engineering. Sanggeon started their career at Phaethon Communications as an Optical Systems Test Engineer, where they designed testbeds and performed product testing for high-speed optical communications. Sanggeon then joined Sunrise Telecom as a Staff Scientist, where they contributed to the development and calibration of various optical test instruments. Following that, they worked at Redfern Integrated Optics Inc. as a Senior Optical Test Engineer. Sanggeon later joined RIO Lasers, where they held the positions of Test and Applications Engineering Manager and Director of Product Management and Application. Sanggeon's career also includes roles at PARC, a Xerox Company, where they served as the Optical Engineering Lead for IoT projects, and at Eloque USA LLC, where they led optical engineering efforts. Sanggeon is currently serving as the Director of NPI Ops Engineering - Process and Design at Lumileds.

Sanggeon Lee has a Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Engineering from Seoul National University, which they obtained from 1988 to 1992. Sanggeon later pursued a Master's degree in Physics from the University of Southern California from 1994 to 1996, followed by another Master's degree in Electrical and Electro Physics from 1998 to 2000. Finally, they completed their education by earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics/Fiber Optic Communications from the University of Southern California, where they studied from 1996 to 2000.
