Ben Filstrup

Ben Filstrup has a diverse work experience in various roles. Ben worked as an Associate Consultant Analyst at Lumina Decision Systems from February 2020 until the present. In this role, they are involved in a wide range of projects, including independent research, Tableau development, mapbox development using JavaScript, and a large data extraction project using SQL. Ben also extensively utilizes Analytica, their visual software environment.

Prior to Lumina Decision Systems, Ben worked as an Analyst Intern at the same company from May 2019 to January 2020. During their internship, they gained experience in independent research, Tableau development, mapbox development (using JavaScript), and worked on a large data extraction project using SQL.

Additionally, Ben worked as a Media Services Student Assistant at San Jose State University from February 2019 to May 2019. In this role, they provided assistance in media services.

Ben also has experience working as a Substitute Teacher at MDUSD from September 2017 to May 2018.

Furthermore, Ben worked as a Research Assistant at UC Santa Cruz from October 2014 to December 2014. In this role, they were selected based on their academic achievements to work on a joint research paper on generative systems. Their responsibilities primarily involved summarizing scholarly articles and presenting findings.

Ben Filstrup completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science with a focus in Game Design from the University of California, Santa Cruz, which they attended from 2013 to 2017. Following this, they pursued further education at San Jose State University, where they earned a Master of Arts degree in Applied Economics between 2018 and 2019.
