Courtney Brown is the Vice President of Strategic Impact and Planning at Lumina Foundation, a position held since August 2011, where responsibilities include developing and overseeing strategic planning, research, data evaluation, and international initiatives. As Chief Research Officer, Courtney leads efforts to measure and report on the outcomes of the Strategic Plan. Previously, as the Director of Organizational Performance and Evaluation at Lumina Foundation, Courtney evaluated the organization’s external and internal impacts. Prior to this, Courtney served as a Senior Research Associate at Indiana University from September 2004 to July 2011, overseeing multiple projects and developing performance measurement systems. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. and a Master of Arts in Linguistics from the University of Virginia, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and Spanish from James Madison University.
