Tolga Urhan

Tolga Urhan has over 20 years of work experience in the technology industry. Tolga began their career in 1996 as a Summer Intern at IBM Almaden Research Center. In 2000, they joined Propel Inc as a Senior Engineer, where they worked on the query processing aspects of the Distributed Services Platform product. In 2002, they joined BEA Systems, where they worked as a Staff Engineer, Engineering Manager, and Sr. Staff Engineer. In 2008, they moved to Oracle, where they worked as a Cloud Architect and Technical Lead, focusing on Cloud PaaS/SaaS architecture and writing code to deliver products. Tolga also worked as a Technical Product Manager on projects focusing on metadata management, diagnostics, monitoring, wiring, and provisioning. In 2019, they joined VMware as an SDDC Automation Architect, and in 2020 they joined Luminary Cloud as a Software Engineer.

Tolga Urhan achieved a BSc in Computer Science from Bilkent University between 1989 and 1994. Tolga then went on to pursue a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, which they completed in 2000.
