Andrew Abner

Andrew Abner has over 25 years of work experience in various technology-related roles. Currently, they work as a VP Data Science and Engineering Consultant at Luminate AI, where they assess and advises on data governance, data engineering, analytics, data science, and engineering strategy for mid-size companies in different industries. Previously, they were the Director of Enterprise Data Science at Take-Two Interactive Software, where they oversaw the enterprise-wide data science center of excellence and led data scientists and machine learning engineers in developing data products. Prior to that, they were a Sr. Engineering Manager at Pluto TV, where they directed various teams, implemented mission-critical data architecture and integrated rights/asset management, programming, scheduling, content processing, and delivery media supply chain services. Andrew also supervised development teams at HBO and Avega Health Systems and worked as a developer/consultant at Guidance Solutions and MESoft, Inc. Andrew's early work experience includes a role as a Communications Billing Software Consultant at the United Nations Development Programme, where they optimized and employed a web-based telephone billing system.

Andrew Abner attended Horace Mann school from 1990 to 1996. Andrew then went on to study Computer Science at Harvard University from 1996 to 2001. Andrew has not obtained any degrees from their time at Horace Mann or Harvard. Recently in 2022, they obtained several certifications in data science from Coursera, including "A Crash Course in Data Science," "Building a Data Science Team," "Data Science in Real Life," and "Managing Data Analysis."
