Patricia Smith

Patricia Smith is an accomplished healthcare professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles across the medical and pharmaceutical sectors. Currently serving as Chairperson at Luminate Medical since June 2021, Patricia previously held the position of Chief Medical Officer at Aerogen, where skills were applied in developing global clinical trial programs and building clinical support teams. As CEO of Bio-Medical Research Ltd from September 2003 to June 2015, Patricia led multiple divisions focused on neurotech and women's health, overseeing a workforce of approximately 250 employees. In earlier roles, Patricia contributed as Managing Director at Hartshead Healthcare Limited, Director of Marketing and International Marketing Manager at Zeneca Pharmaceuticals, and as a Registrar in Cardiology at NHS Queens Medical Centre. Patricia holds degrees in Medicine and Cardiology from Nottingham University Medical School, along with a Chartered Director designation.
