Dr. Brenda Cimbura

Dr. Brenda Cimbura has a diverse work experience that spans over several companies and industries. Dr. Brenda began their career as an Associate Pastor at Praise Christian Center, where they focused on college and career ministry. Dr. Brenda then moved on to SpiritFire Productions, where they served as the Director and Event Producer.

Dr. Cimbura also worked at North Heights Lutheran Church as a Senior Communication Specialist and later as the Post High Programming Director. In these roles, they launched a new ministry for college and young adults and provided pastoral leadership to staff, volunteers, and constituents.

Dr. Brenda then transitioned to Allina Hospitals & Clinics as a Senior Marketing Communications Consultant, managing strategic marketing communications programs to promote Allina's market share in various healthcare specialties. Their responsibilities included situational assessment, trend analysis, project management, and public relations.

Dr. Cimbura also worked at Studio106, Inc. as the Vice President of Communication & Strategic Planning. In this role, they led a team in strategic planning, copywriting, design, and project management for communications campaigns targeting internal and external audiences.

At Bridging the Gap, Dr. Cimbura served as the Co-Chair, Conference Emcee, and Leadership Speaker, overseeing the activities and events of retreats and conferences for women in Minnesota. Dr. Brenda emceed conferences, retreats, concerts, and provided leadership training for thousands of women.

Dr. Cimbura also worked as a Communication & Public Relations Adjunct Faculty at Northwestern College and as a Communication & Organizational Leadership Adjunct Faculty at Bethel University. In addition, they held roles as the Grant Coordinator & Associate Writer and as the Associate Administration and Instructor Liaison for the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games Broadcast Host Program at Bethel University.

Their most recent position was at LuminFire, where they held the role of Chief Operations Officer. LuminFire is an award-winning software and web development agency, and Dr. Cimbura was responsible for creating digital solutions and developing custom applications to address business challenges. Prior to this role, they were the Vice President of Marketing & Business Development at LuminFire, overseeing the marketing and rebranding of the company and helping to grow the team from three to twenty employees.

Throughout their career, Dr. Brenda Cimbura has demonstrated their expertise in communication, organizational leadership, marketing, strategic planning, and event management.

Dr. Brenda Cimbura earned their Bachelor's degree in Speech Communication from Bethel University, which they attended from 1993 to 1995. Dr. Brenda later pursued a Master's degree in Communication at Wheaton College from 1996 to 1997. Dr. Cimbura furthered their education by pursuing an Ed.D. degree in Leadership and Change Management at Bethel University from 2010 to 2014.
