John Hopwood

John Hopwood has had a long and varied career in software engineering. John began their career in 1997 as a Software Architect at Barclays Capital. In 1999, they moved to Morgan Stanley as a Senior Software Engineer. John returned to Barclays Capital in 2000 as a Software Development Manager. From 2005 to 2013, they worked at BlackRock in two roles, first as Director Mobile Product Management and then as Software Development Manager - Portfolio analytics. In 2013, they co-founded Spotlite Labs Inc. as CTO. In 2016, they moved to Jolata as Senior Director Software Engineering. In 2018, they co-founded Luminous Cyber as CTO.

John Hopwood holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, a Master of Science (MSc) in Distributed and Parallel Systems from Queen Mary University of London, and a BSc in Computer Science from London Metropolitan University.
