Daniel Newton

Daniel Newton, PE, is a Senior Civil Engineer at Lumos & Associates since March 2024, previously serving as a Civil Engineer at DOWL from September 2017 to March 2024. During this time, Daniel contributed to the design of municipal water systems, sewer and storm drain networks, utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D for various engineering tasks. Prior experience includes a role as a Hydrogeologist at Farr West Engineering, where subsurface investigations were conducted, and as a Ground Penetrating Radar Analyst at Penhall Company, focusing on detailed subsurface investigations and technical reporting. Additional background includes management and instructional roles at Gordon's Photo Service, IT support at Truckee Meadows Community College, and production operation at USG. Daniel holds a Bachelor's Degree in Geological Engineering with a minor in Hydrogeology from the University of Nevada, Reno and an Associate's Degree in Computer Information Technology/Web Development from Truckee Meadows Community College.
