Yair Alon

Yair Alon has worked in various roles since 2008. In 2008, they were an Officer (lieutenant) - Platoon commander in the Israel Defense Forces. From 2016 to 2020, they worked as a Research and Development Engineer in the electroless line for multilayer selectively coating at Israel Weapon Industries (IWI) LTD. From 2018 to 2020, they were a Master Thesis Student at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, where they published the paper "Femtosecond Bragg grating inscription in an Yb-doped LMA multicore fiber for high power laser applications" in Optics Letters and gave an oral presentation at the CLEO US conference. Yair also had two years of optical lab experience. From 2020 to 2022, they were a Laser Physicist at Elbit Systems Ltd. Currently, they are an Electro Optics Engineer at Lumus Ltd.

Yair Alon received a Bachelor of Science in Materials Engineering from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in 2017. From 2013-2013, they attended Wingate Institute and received no degree. In 2018, they began a Master of Science in Electro-Optical Engineering at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and is expected to complete it in 2020.
