Charles Sprinkle has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2007 as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Norfolk Naval Shipyard. In 2008, they worked as a Rheology Intern at Corning Incorporated, where they formulated batches, tested materials, and reported results to managers. From 2011 to 2020, they worked at Luna Innovations Incorporated, starting as a Research Associate responsible for the formulation and application of coating technologies and then as an Associate Scientist and Research Specialist, where they led work in the lab, delivered progress reports, pursued new funding, and met with clients. In 2022, they joined Luna Labs USA as a Research And Development Specialist.
Charles Sprinkle earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Virginia Tech in 2009. Charles then obtained a Master of Engineering degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the same university in 2010.
