Marina Waters

Marina Waters serves as the President of LUNA Language Services since July 2007, where the mission is to provide comprehensive language services across various sectors, emphasizing meaningful relationships with clients and stakeholders. Previously, Marina held the role of Chief Operating Officer/Legal Liaison at LUNA Language Services, focusing on advocacy for access to services for Deaf and limited English proficiency communities. Additionally, Marina served as a Legal Officer for the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights of Indigenous Peoples and worked as a Staff Attorney at the University of Arizona. Earlier experience includes managing clinical trials as a Research Clinician and volunteering for Hurricane Mitch relief efforts. Marina holds a Master of Public Health and a Doctor of Law from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Lewis & Clark College.
