Noor Malik

Noor Malik has a diverse work experience. In 2019, they began as a CS261 Tutor and Summer Research Intern - Machine Learning at Colorado School of Mines. In 2020, they became a Data Science Intern at Deephaven Data Labs, where they created a real-time system to perform sentiment analysis on earnings call transcripts, investigated the effects of antibiotics on the human gut microbiome through time-series and unsupervised ML analyses, and analyzed a trading strategy on a time-series dataset with hundreds of millions of rows. In 2021, Noor was an Undergraduate Student Researcher at Colorado School of Mines and a Data Science Intern at Mayo Clinic, where they designed ML-based filters for an NLP classification tool to ensure quality of model predictions, measurably increasing the performance of the system. In 2022, Noor began working at Lunar Outpost as a Software Engineer and Software Engineer Intern.

Noor Malik attended Carroll Senior High School from 2015 to 2019, where they earned a High School Diploma. Noor then went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the Colorado School of Mines, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
