Project Manager - Planetary Robotics at Lunar Outpost

Van Wagner began their career in 2017 as an Engineering Intern at Meter, Valve & Control, Inc. WBE. In this role, they were responsible for understanding and assisting in sizing different gas & fluid metering and control solutions for various job sites, as well as helping to answer client inquiries. In 2018, Van Wagner served as an Engineering Consultant at Kobold Interplanetary Resources and as a Preconstruction & Estimating Intern at Alcorn Construction, Inc. In 2019, they were hired by Rocky Mountain Resources as an Engineering and Operations Assistant. Here, they helped facilitate business growth by integrating newly acquired businesses into the existing business structure, as well as participating in several short-term projects. Van Wagner also worked at Lunar Outpost as a Mechanical Engineering Intern, where they were responsible for the conception and development of critical rover fixturing hardware. Van used Solidworks modeling and FEA to simulate launch conditions and created successive design iterations to meet standardized performance criteria.

Van Wagner obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Robotics & Intelligent Systems from the Colorado School of Mines between 2016 and 2020. In January 2016, they also obtained a Solidworks Associate (CSWA) certification from a SolidWorks Authorised Training Center.
